Today, members of the Concert Living board, along with key partners, celebrated breaking ground on the Edward Gardens development in Bamber Bridge.
This is the first scheme by Concert Living and will comprise of 12 contemporary three and four bed homes for sale.
The development also includes five one-bedroom, fully accessible bungalows for affordable rent which benefit from Homes England grant subsidy.
The development is situated on the former Mainway Court independent living scheme on Edward Street, which was demolished last summer. The start on site is the culmination of significant work over the past year to gain the relevant building permissions and coordinate the start of construction.
The homes at Edward Gardens will be 19% more energy efficient than is required by Building Regulations and the Concert Living homes will include smart homes features, such as HIVE active heating. It is anticipated the Concert Living homes will be ready to be handed over to the first prospective purchasers from October this year, with early bird reservations already being available. The bungalows for affordable rent, will be completed by the end of January next year.
